Management of Islamic-Based Education Facilities and Infrastructure

Abstract

This scientific paper explains the management of Islamic-based educational facilities and infrastructure. This discourse is important to explain because the education system is an interrelated component, such as curriculum, materials, methods, educators, students, facilities, tools, approaches, and so on. So far, understanding of the concepts of integration and interconnection between the subsystems above is still lacking, so the learning process has not been maximized and/or optimal. This research uses a library research method with a descriptive-analytic approach. The research results show that the management of educational facilities and infrastructure is a collaborative process that utilizes all Islamic-based educational facilities and infrastructure effectively. The aim of managing facilities and infrastructure in Islamic-based educational institutions is to provide professional services so that the learning process can take place effectively, efficiently, and with an Islamic nuance. The process of managing Islamic-based educational facilities and infrastructure includes: (1) planning Islamic-based educational facilities and infrastructure; (2) procurement of Islamic-based educational facilities and infrastructure; (3) inventory of Islamic education facilities and infrastructure; (4) supervision and maintenance of Islamic-based educational facilities and infrastructure; and (5) elimination of school facilities and infrastructure. The conclusion of this research is that the management of facilities and infrastructure in Islamic-based educational institutions must be oriented towards the principles of being timely, right on target, nuanced with Sharia (Islam), effective, and optimal.
